Hockey suspensions drawing GM ire

It was only a matter of time before people started complaining about Brendan Shanahan’s suspensions.  I think he is on the right track and it should start to show results at some point.  Keep those suspensions coming.  We don’t want to lose the best players in the game because of recklessness.  The first shot across his bow is from the agent of a pretty clean player who did not control his stick.  As a result he received a two game suspension.  This may teach players they need to control their sticks.

I should note that I didn’t see a replay and am going on the word of the NHL.  I know that is usually a problem.  But based on the explanations of Shanahan for the previous suspensions I am confindent that he took a lot of time reviewing the available video before making a decision.

The article from CBC in Canada.  Great spot to get hockey info and news.
