Pacing your runs

I have become a running adict.  I am writing a post to describe my addiction, but in the mean time here is a good blog post on problems with pacing.

When I run I am a slave to my Garmin.  Not as much as this writer but I check it every couple of hundred yards until my pace stablizes.  This morning was tough.  I varied in pace about a minute per mile for 2 miles before it stablized.  I just can’t run on feel.  For example I wanted to run an 8 min/mi pace, but found my pace ranging from 8:30 to 7:30.
