Leadership from the US Air Force

Another great post on leadership from David Kanigan’s blog.  It is by a guest blogger referencing a speech David posted on his site a few weeks ago.  The speech was by an Air Force General to the cadets at the Air Force Academy.  The General spoke without notes, was engaging and funny.  The 45 minute speech seemed to fly by.  The guest blogger provides some context for the General’s speech and what this man learned during his years in the Air Force.

I would recommend to any manager that they read up on how military leadership is trained.  There is a lot of bureaucracy in the military but when needed the great leadership of the men and women in the military shines through it all.  Much can be learned by business managers from our military leaders.
