Unemployment Goes Down but so does the Size of the Labor Force

This essay from Hot Air by Ed Morrissey is about a month old but is still relevant.  This past week new unemployment numbers were released that showed unemployment was down to 8.5%.  Based on the raw numbers this is true.  But when you look more deeply into the numbers released this week the same issues that are discussed in the essay pertain to the most recent numbers.  The labor force is decreasing and hiring is rising on a limited basis.  This combination results in a decrease in the unemployment figures but is misleading.
